Special Events Manager

Six years of special event creation, coordination and execution as founder of Melindy Productions, responsible for all aspects of event design, development and production.  I created, produced and managed events while utilizing my strengths in written and oral communication to build strategic relations with clients, businesses, and entertainers; and developed clear, consistent, and positive messaging to manage volunteers and staff.

Key responsibilities are to maintain constant written and oral communication with landlords, property managers, and internal and external staff; create commencement date agreements, gather W9 information, and implement start rents for new signed leases; track expiration dates for existing leases, negotiate terms and create renewal documents and amendments for expiring leases; review, amend, and reconcile all sublease agreements; and pay invoices and track maintenance needs for over 850 store locations.

  • Created a query combining specific information from the open/close report, construction reports, delivery dates, and penalty dates in order to execute rent starts in a timely manner
  • Designed and implemented a new renewals and execution process with a focus on communication between landlords, real estate directors and the real estate committee
  • Established specific recording procedures for sublease payments and reconciliations, resulting in a savings of over $1 million.
